I've seen several complaints about the size and style of flow meter threaded ends. First, the gauge has a 3/4" BSP (British Standard Pipe) thread and is not interchangeable with NPT (National Pipe Thread). For this reason, adapters (3/4" BSP female x 1/2" -Male (NPT) threads are included. . The included adapters allow you to connect the 3/4" BSP end to the flow meter and then a NPT 1/2" female-to-standard hose adapter to connect to your hose. You can purchase an adapter for a female hose for the inlet and an adapter for a male hose for the outlet.This allows you to connect the meter to an external water tap and the hose to the outlet of the meter seals perfectly.
