Review on Sony SRS-XB43 Extra Bass Wireless Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Blue (Renewed) by Somsak Pasalae ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

I chose this speaker because it supports the LDAC codec and USB Type-C charging. Due to their absence, I abandoned JBL Xtreme 2. I also considered Onyx Studio 6, the bass is lower and more powerful, but the sound is purely monophonic and the battery capacity is much less. Well, the design in the form of a women's bag is such a thing. In terms of sound quality, I'll give Sony a solid four. It is not bad: there are basses, and sometimes there are even too many of them. True, they are not always well articulated, in many tracks there is an extra boom and a lack of punch. The middle is a bit lacking, but this can be pulled out with an equalizer. The top is pretty good. Why does the speaker not pull 15 kilo in terms of sound? There is a certain tightness and you always understand that it is not stationary acoustics that is playing, but a column with moisture protection. Apparently, the costs of a sealed design. The volume is enough for me. The apartment has 68 sq. M. at 60% volume it is very audible in any room. For the street - I don’t know, the season is over, now I’ll check it only in the spring. As for the backlight, it is there, but it is not clear why it is needed. It constantly does not fall into time, and there is a feeling that it blinks just randomly. But when it hits, the effect is cool. But she rarely succeeds. The column size is smaller than I expected from the photos and reviews. In this case, that's a plus. And the minus is the weight of three kilograms in the absence of fasteners. It will do for the house, but it is problematic to take it with you somewhere. There is a case on the well-known Chinese site, but this is such a solution. The design is not bad, the column certainly does not look cheap and ugly (at least without backlighting). Much better in real life than in the photo. The materials are high quality and pleasant to the touch.

Pros
  • Good sound quality. bluetooth 5.0 Support for LDAC codec. USB Type-C. Quality materials and assembly. A handy smartphone app (do not forget to set the LDAC codec to the maximum sound quality in it; by default, connection stability is prioritized).
Cons
  • There is no mount or carrying handle. The sound quality is still not for 15 thousand, I would say, for eight. There is no visual indicator of the battery charge on the speaker itself, only an audible notification when you press the button, which is hidden on the back side under the plug (which is inconvenient).

For this money - 10700, it is better not to find a column

Pros below: The sound is professional, I would say so Some cons: Weight, the column is heavy, but this is not surprising, given its components

A fan of Sony acoustics likes their audio systems. The sound is at the level, it works out very high quality at maximum speed

Cool sound. Compared with a 5.1 audio system: the speaker sounded better at times.

Pros: Sound quality, looks good Cons: Too quiet for this size. JBL charge plays louder, it feels like

With its pros. Great bass kick. Fully controlled from your phone Cons below: There is no standby mode, it does not start from the bluetooth. But there is NFC, this is no longer a disadvantage

Has some pros An excellent column, before that there was an XB41 - I liked it very much, so I decided not to watch either Marshal or JBL Different cons: Perhaps the weight and dimensions and the lack of a strap, but this is not critical
