In general, its pretty good, an equal number of pros and cons.

The kids were into it since it was different and novel at first, but eventually they stopped paying attention. Perfect for those who prefer to take it easy. Does not call for any unique handling. Every three weeks, I would clean the water and filter. Water changes are necessary, but how often will vary according to the number of fish.

Pros

Extremely portable, aesthetically pleasing, and functional as a humidifier. In the winter, water once a week.

Cons

Plaque made of white plastic is notoriously difficult to remove from water. After a few months in the aquarium, the plastic backlight and the glass are both covered in lime from splashes due to the harsh water in the Hong Kong area. A stark contrast between black and white. Failed after only a year and a half of service. Since the pump is soldered shut, the motor cannot be taken apart for servicing. If the fish in the aquarium die because they don't get enough oxygen from the waterfall, then that's it.
