Worth it but not the price

K&N is a reputable CAI company, but you're only paying for the name. The hose connecting the throttle body and air filter appears to be plastic, while I tested the car it has a warm note just like the factory airbox could be a little cooler. Installation was a little tricky, not knowing which screws go with which pictures in the instructions was a big problem. This is general rather than installation detailed. Now, like you, I have a 2014 Cadillac ats 2.5L and was wondering "should I get it" I'm going to say yes. I was afraid the check engine light would come on on the forums I read, but it hasn't come on for the last 3 days of driving 60 miles to and from work daily. I hit the car a little and still no. The noise is impressive as the engine gets more air, which is less restrictive than stock. At 4000rpm you might feel a little more horsepower and torque, but nothing out of the ordinary for this world, so the nominal horsepower and torque gains are the most accurate for what you'll be getting. Throttle response and acceleration are almost instantaneous. It's great and I love it. MPG is also talked about when you get CAI and I've seen an improvement, not sure if it's a big one, but the evidence shows it could be. I should have traveled more. Overall, the price is a bit high, but it's worth it if you're looking to boost performance to keep showing results. Also, I didn't have to go to the tuner to have the car tuned. I'm not sure if that makes a difference.
