This is our first robot vacuum cleaner. We received the vacuum cleaner promptly from Amazon. outside undamaged, inside too. everything was packaged very nicely. It didn't take long to figure out how to use it, so we charged it overnight according to the instructions. In the morning I started vacuuming the process. I use the term "process" because I need to vacuum the areas I want to vacuum. Move chairs away from counters and tables, pick up all cords off floor (loves cords - haven't eaten yet but hangs on leash like a dog), close some parts of house every time I use it. If the vacuum cleaner does not have room to go around the object, it will get stuck for quite a long time, trying to find a way out of the tight spot. It's not hard to move things, it's just another thing (e.g. emptying the dishwasher). Every time before I use the vacuum, I empty the dust bin, shake out the filters to clean (I even use a shop vacuum to clean the HEPA filter), wipe inside and out, turn it over and start cleaning. cleaning the floor (I had to untangle the hair from the wheels a couple of times) (we have 3 dogs so pre-cleaning the machine doesn't bother me, it's just another thing how to fold the laundry). Vacuuming carpets and rugs is another matter. We haven't tried it on a single rug yet, but we've used it in every room with rugs. None of our rugs are exactly the same "layer" that we have thick and thin. Sometimes a unit can't stand at right angles to the carpet, so the unit steps back, lands obliquely, and pushes. We have skids which the unit doesn't like (they aren't fixed so it's our fault, not the unit) - Attempting to stand on the skids sometimes causes the unit to push the carpet and not get on properly. it's just one of those "things" like unloading groceries when you get home. if the carpet is thick or heavy, the unit doesn't seem to have any problems. I have never used this item to drain the battery and also to see if the battery is dead and if it is coming back to this house. I find myself stopping because the trash can is full. I can tell because the device throws ghostly feces behind it (like right now). Once when I went into the barn it had a dead battery, when I came back it got stuck and either the battery was dead or it gave up from sheer exhaustion. When I send the unit home to base it takes a bit but it can find it so as not to embarrass anyone but I think the hoover is a man cuz it cleans like a spotted lol lc, Lc. it works great for our needs. My husband finds it loud, I don't find it loud, it actually sounds like it works so I'm fine. I also told my husband that we don't let it run when we have company or watch TV so he can hum because he's working and I'm not. However if you watch the video I've attached to this review it sounds really loud, I'm not sure why, maybe using phone videos has something to do with it. I can say that video is not a true representation of loudness (or lack of it). The reviews and price of this item were in budget compared to the $600 units that weren't. In a rather unexpected surprise, there are 2 ways to get free stuff in the documentation that comes with the device. One way is to write a review, then take a screenshot of the review and send it to the address shown on the map and you'll get free stuff: not sure what it is, but since I'm writing a review , I might as well get stuff (e.g. a prize from a burglar). The second option is to register the device within 30 days, post a review of the product on the site where the device was purchased (Amazon), take a screenshot and post it on the registration page. Haven't done it yet, but there will probably be free stuff there too (like a dozen bakers). For your health!
