Very nice and looks exactly like the promotional photo. Light goes through but does not shine through. It's like a bathroom tile and we use it on the bathroom window to block the inside and outside view. We have received many compliments. As with other grips that do not have an adhesive backing, the grip may peel or curl and lift around the corners because it was rolled very tightly when sold and shipped, but there is little to no rollover compared to other grips. To counteract this increase, trim it to size, roll it upside down, and wait a few hours. After unfolding, it will flatten out. If you have corners that keep coming loose, pour more water on the glass behind that area, press down and use blue tape to secure. After a few days you will see this blue tape reminding you to take it off. By then, the film should be set. Hope this works for you. One more comment: I saw this product from another manufacturer with an adhesive backing. it looks the same but it really sticks. This product is advertised as removable but is very sticky so I imagine it would be difficult to remove especially if the glass is a window where the sun hits and melts the adhesive. Speculation on my part, but this product is fine if you're sure you're not going to remove it. Non-stick fasteners like Kaidishi's Revain are good if you're unsure about keeping that hold for long. If you decide to change the decoration, removing it is very easy.
