Review on Sabrent HB-UMC4: 4 Port USB C to USB 3.0 Data Hub - Individual Power Switches and LEDs, Macbook Pro Compatible by Manny Darawi

Help! Is it a lemon or just an intolerance? The hub was of good quality and looked great on my desk; but it just doesn't work. Hub was purchased for use on a new iMac Retina 4k received 12/31/17: Sabrent HB-UMC4 - 4-port 3.0 USB Type-C hub with separate switches, used with the recommended Sabrent PS -5V4A, none of the connected devices work or even be recognized by the system. Media won't mount, whether it's a flash drive, hard drive, hootoo drive, etc. [The Hootoo drive is getting hot] The keyboard won't let me type documents. The mouse LED is on, but the cursor is not displayed. The message is "Mouse not found". Tested on 2017 iMac. power another power strip. All devices have been tested. They work on iMac native ports and Sabrent HB-MC3B. iMac restarted multiple times. Fix what? O
