Much better than using the JBL Extreme 2's long strap to carry it from room to room, house to garage, etc. Also, you don't have to constantly turn the long strap upside down. to the side when the area on which it is standing becomes unclear. The latches seem strong enough and should last the life of the button, which I assume will be the life of the speaker. I like that the handle has some "beef". Feels good in hand. I have a hard case that I keep the speaker in when not in use and although I have to detach it to put it in the case it is small enough to fit in the side compartment along with the charger. So far very satisfied!
