5 stars based on first impression only. let me explain. I have an 11" foot and the 11.5" shoes fit great. However, this size is a little hard to find and sometimes the shoe can be too tight. Plus, where I live, I have huge legs compared to the locals. So I found the size 12 does the job well, with a little more wiggle room inside. Using these numbers is not a problem. I should note that where I live they tend to use EU sizing conventions. Just like Japanese. I got three different answers to three different size charts. If I looked at five, I would get five. Looking at the Revain chart I should wear a size 46. According to the Shimano chart, I should wear a size 47. For reasons I can't explain, I ordered a 48 and received a 48. cozy. Well, these shoes are like butter. Not tight, not loose, just right. I don't know how this will help you as a potential shoe buyer, but if others say these shoes are a little tight then I'm very lucky. I will comment and update this review as I add mileage to the shoes. But for the price, if they last a year I'll be happy.
