Review on SlipDoctors Fiberglass Bathtubs Barefoot Friendly by Kenny Donald

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great thing, just make sure your surface is prepped.

I only applied the product 5 days ago so far so good. It was very easy to do. I've had a lot more trouble removing and cleaning old anti-slip stickers than applying Slip Doctors. As they say with most paints or similar products, the quality of the final result depends on the preparation. I washed my shower very thoroughly. Actually 3 times. The floor had to be done in such a way that all the adhesive was removed from the decals that were previously removed. This scrubbing with a Scotch-Brite sponge following the instructions that came with it took much longer than the recommended 5 minutes. I considered sanding the shower floor with fine sandpaper, but decided against it this time. I am sure that my preparation was sufficient. After the shower was completely dry, I quickly applied the product according to the instructions and let it dry completely for 24 hours before using the shower. It dried completely transparent. In fact, I had to use a flashlight at a very low angle to view my work. The graininess of the product, which gives it anti-slip properties, was clearly visible and evenly distributed over the entire surface. It works fantastic and is very comfortable on my feet. Time will tell how durable it is. However, as I said before, with any product like this, the quality of the end result depends on the preparation of the surface. The bad reviews I saw about it before buying it were most likely due to lousy surface prep. Usually, it's always a sign of laziness and a lack of concern for the bottom line. This puts the blame on the manufacturer or service provider. So far it's a great product and I'm very happy with it.
