Although I was able to use this product to remove and replace two small 60W spotlights about 12 feet tall, I had to overcome a few difficulties. For a bottle of this size, the blue cup works best, but I couldn't get it to suck and stay on the bottom of the bottle, so I was able to safely remove it, even after cleaning the bottle before removing it , as others have suggested . Because the bulbs are in a jar, when trying to place the cup on the bulb, the bulb rested against the ceiling glass. However, the friction was enough to be able to unscrew the bulb. Not wanting to drop and break the bulbs (one of which was a CFL) I used the blue cup to unscrew most of the bulbs and then used the wider yellow cup to finish unscrewing and the large yellow cup on the to lower ground. allowed me to balance the lamp better than the smaller blue bowl even without suction. I was able to ensure sufficient and permanent suction of the new bulb from the floor, since I was able to apply a lot of force with the blue cup (properly wetted) to be able to lift it up safely and screw it tight. It's certainly better than lugging and climbing a ladder to get the job done. I would recommend this product for its intended purpose, with the caveats I mentioned.
