Feels like squeezing too hard

I had high hopes for them as I have several lightbulbs that require a ladder to access. Although I'm only slightly taller than the average hobbit, almost everything requires a ladder, but I digress. In any case, the plastic they are made of is too hard and it takes too much pressure to really create suction and "grab" the bulb. It feels like if I press too hard it will either press against the body of the fixture on my wall or smash the bulb. I don't recommend these at all.

Try all three so the bulbs fit better

I've seen too many concerns about my bulbs breaking on top. I decided to turn off my lab giggles and give it a try. The first attempt was terrible. I thought the largest bowl would fit my ceiling light, but it just wobbled. I couldn't figure out how to secure the head with a pin, but it took less torque to unscrew the bulb than it did to unscrew the entire stem. The second, smaller cup held the bulb securely in place and I had no problem installing the new bulb. Be ready, be safe. Me. LongArm…

The suction cup is a remove spotlight

I have 9 overhead spotlights that are about 18 feet off the floor. I had a hard time holding the suction cup on the headlight bulbs. I tried wetting the suction cup but that didn't help. I was able to unscrew the bulb, but it didn't stick to the suction cup long enough for the bulb to fall to the floor. After dropping 2 lightbulbs, I attached the net around the pole to catch the lightbulb. I was able to easily attach the suction cups to the new light bulb on the floor and install them in the…

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Faulty

Track lights on 10ft flat floodlight styles aren't a big problem with this or any other suction device, but regular incandescent bulbs are are my problem. I'm glad I read the reviews because it helped a lot - I use a damp cloth to dampen part of the cup (red) and it holds up well to my own pole, but the design is neat, pull it down slightly and the unit's valve releases suction for easy tool removal. Same for installation. NOW I look forward to not using the stairs and dare to use one of these…

Question: How many lawyers does it take to change a lightbulb?

Answer: A lawyer and an electrician. May be. I have a light bulb in a portico about 20 feet off the ground. My giant ladder still leaves me 6 feet tall, about 4 feet from the lightbulb. So I figured a kit along with a five foot pool would be the answer. I unscrewed the big teat and climbed the stairs. It arrived. Now for the actual test. I turned and turned. A lot has happened, just nothing I wanted. Rust rained down on me from the insert, which was dangling and threatening to detach and slide…

It works and is difficult to use.

It works, but it's not that easy. I use the blue one with a Mr Longer pole up to 24ft long. My overhead light is about 20 feet tall. For a conventional RB30 downlight this is relatively easy. Easys Park removes an old lightbulb. A new installation requires some practice. Place the bulb in the center of the mug and press the center of the hole until you hear a clear sound. At this point the assembly is in place and you can rotate. Don't over tighten. Then tilt the rod a few degrees to separate…

Works but has limitations

Although I was able to use this product to remove and replace two small 60W spotlights about 12 feet tall, I had to overcome a few difficulties. For a bottle of this size, the blue cup works best, but I couldn't get it to suck and stay on the bottom of the bottle, so I was able to safely remove it, even after cleaning the bottle before removing it , as others have suggested . Because the bulbs are in a jar, when trying to place the cup on the bulb, the bulb rested against the ceiling glass…
