I was reluctant to get a hybrid club because it was always very difficult for me to get into the woods on the fairway. My only golf buddy uses a Taylor Made 4 Hybrid which I tried to hit but always ended up missing. Last month I started thinking about a hybrid again, mainly because my local course took much longer to build up the bumps in the fairway and my friend was able to get some good shots out of the taller grass with his hybrid. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and I already have a Pinemeadow driver that I really like, so I ordered it in the 5th Hybrid. After just half an hour of practice, I learned how to swing this racquet and that's exactly what I needed. I've read that a lot of people don't like the weight of these racquets (heavier than Taylor Made), but I like the extra weight. I can make a slower, more controlled swing and get a good long straight shot even in tall grass. He also shoots straight on the fairways, again without much effort. I love my Callaways too much to throw them away but next time I'll order 4!
