I am new to beadwork. And when I found an easier way to finish my work, I was excited, if a bit skeptical. But when I finally got the crimping tool and crimping beads, I went straight to my desk to try it out. I couldn't believe how easy and flawless it worked. First you have to place the crimp bead in the second inner recess of the pliers and bite down. It creates a "C" shape and then slide to the shape closest to the nose of the pliers. With a bit of pressure you get a nicely twisted bead that will hold firmly to the thin flexible wire I have used, but I have also used it with knotted thread on some gem jewelry pieces that I have received as gifts in the past. Thing is, these pliers work great and are of excellent quality as far as I can tell. I can't imagine them ever slowing down given the delicate work they had to do from the start. If you need this for jewelry making, don't hesitate to buy it, you won't regret it.
