I bought them for a play tray for my preschoolers in kindergarten. they are crisp and beautiful. They were great for developing fine motor skills and critical thinking as they aren't exact squares so they really had to figure out how to put them together. These are pictures of them trying to build an igloo. But they also loved using them with modeling clay and little figures to build Elsa's ice castle. they don't scratch at all. definitely recommend.
- Although the appearance is very close to real ice, it has no freezing effect and does not float in liquid
