Update: 20190603 It looks like a data error is causing macOS to be unable to open the Finder, which means I'm screwed. I was able to fix the problem by reinstalling the operating system. However, this is a major blow to my confidence in this product. Downgraded to 3 stars to reflect this loss of confidence.==================================== = === ============================ Item arrived yesterday. Aside from how to disconnect the battery (check ifixit AT com for more detailed instructions), installing the hardware was a breeze. Restoring the contents of your previous system was more of a challenge. I ended up using the Migration Assistant included with MacOS (under Applications/Utilities) and it worked as expected. You need to install the new SSD in your computer, put the old SSD in the provided enclosure, and boot from the old SSD and enclosure connected to ThunderBolt. If I had found this method earlier in my journey it would have saved me a ton of time. The content transfer took a few hours, but that's to be expected. Now I have a lot of free space to fill again :). And I don't see any problems at the moment.
