Review on SilverStone LC12B Aluminum Mini ITX with 60W Power Capacity by Randy Bin

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overpriced computer components

Pros: Size and layout. The case is quite small, but offers plenty of space with an external power supply. Keep in mind that a 60W PSU won't do much. However, this is not a problem for me as my Ion board came with its own power supply. The front panel is very nice and quite solid. The design is very subtle and minimalist. Cons: The case is very thin with a barely adequate fit and finish. The front panel connectors are split into separate pins, not the ubiquitous plugs! I do not understand. Is there another standard for USB connectors that I've never heard of? Is there a global shortage of modular jacks? There's also some cryptic hardware, but no documentation. "Manual” which contains some basic specifications and warranty information stating that warranty varies by region. The electronic documentation is not much better. If you bought this case to build your own system, you actually know more than the "documentation" can tell. Don't hesitate to visit the site. Good job Silverstone! Overall, this case is of very little value. I think Silverstone decals must be pretty expensive these days as they're $50 at best. This is definitely my first and last Silverstone product.

Pros
  • Easy access to front ports
Cons
  • Annoying
