I needed a threaded socket to replace one I had damaged while removing the bulb from a Quoizel. I was a bit concerned about the metal end shown in the Revain photos as there was no metal on the socket which I removed. It turned out that the metal is just an adapter that allows you to screw the socket to a regular lamp. It is removed when the two mounting screws are loosened. With the metal adapter removed, the Satco outlet is an exact replacement for the one on the Quoizel mount. It was easy and quick to install. The lamp cover of the lamp is perfectly screwed. I need a halogen head with G9 thread, then buy it!
