I have used this product off and on since my first pregnancy (16 years ago) when I had problems with regular toothpaste. The inside of my mouth was scaly and boiled from using mint toothpaste. I kept trying to go back to regular toothpaste, which you could find in any store, but got to the point of developing gum disease from irritation, first with mint and then with another ingredient in the paste. Children's toothpaste was useless. for brushing my teeth and I ended up having trouble with it too, so I tried this product. That works great! It leaves my teeth clean and polished; and no sores or tissue detachments in the mouth. The powder fizzes enough to create a light foam as it quickly dissolves on a wet toothbrush and in the saliva in the mouth. My dentist is impressed with the performance of this powder and I have not had any gum disease issues since using this powder. He said he would be concerned about fluoride if I were a kid, but because I have good, strong teeth, he's not worried about fluoride deficiency. There is fluoridated mineral water if you feel you need it. The taste is salty (because of the baking soda in it) and the lime only improves it a bit, but I've gotten used to it and it doesn't bother me anymore. Not that it was that bad at first, but it's an acquired taste. However, considering how well this toothpowder works, the short adjustment period was worth it with a few uses to get the taste just right. I seem to remember not liking the taste of regular toothpaste at first either. Another positive aspect of this product is that it won't leave toothpaste "stains" on your clothes if it drips onto your shirt. If it drips onto your clothes, it simply dries up into a powder that is immediately brushed off. It's also easy to transport without upsetting the TSA folks since it's a dry powder in translucent bottles. I wish it came in a larger container to dip my toothbrush in so I wouldn't "puff" so much. on the bathroom sink when I put it on my toothbrush. Conclusion: Positive ideal for those who are sensitive to the ingredients in regular toothpaste. Suitable for air travel as it is not considered a liquid. Teeth. It doesn't cause those temporary white marks on your clothes when it drips onto your shirt. Suitable for use where you have no water. My 2 oz. The bottle lasted about 6 months. minuses. If fluoride is important to you, try another Eco-dent product. The taste is like that. different from regular toothpaste but bearable. Applying it to the toothbrush, "puffing", seems wasteful. I sincerely recommend this product.
