Review on Panasonic SL CT730 Portable CD Player by Delbert Potter

Snooze, you got good for Portable CD Players

I recently bought a brand new unit (NOS) on Ebay. It was sealed in retail packaging. The guy had 10 grand for sale and wanted $80, but it was worth it. Because the retail package contained rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries, a regular round battery attachment, a pair of earphones and a charger. The charger is usually not included in the scope of delivery. The uniqueness of the SL-CT730 is that several Panasonic models had 3D EQ settings, but usually only two settings, in addition to other settings such as TRAIN, LIVE, SBASS and SBASS+. The SL-CT730 features a sophisticated remote control that allows you to set up two 3D audio settings for EACH of the other settings. In other words, you can set the equalizer to regular SBASS or in combination with either of the two 3D settings! In addition, it offered two types of additional bass adjustments. The total number of sound settings is confusing: NO EFFECT, HBASS, HBASS+, SBASS, SBASS+, TRAIN. And in each of these settings you can set a non-3D effect or one of two 3D effects! Unbelievable. The only setting Panasonic has never offered is LIVE, but the two 3D settings easily compensate for (or mimic) this. I have several models of Panasonic portable CD players and this is probably the best. Complex instruments are usually transmitted very well. The volume setting is also quite sensitive, so setting it to 10 gives me enough volume. This player also has a super slim design. This player's complex remote control is probably the most expensive of all Panasonic players; A replacement remote costs $111, but my device is brand new, so I don't have to worry about that. If you ask me, it costs $79 to buy a new player of this caliber, but there weren't any other buyers on Ebay. so I was the only one who got bitten. I'm so tired of buying used Panny units on Ebay where the seller said they were in great, 'new' condition only to find them with scratches all over the LCD screen and corrosion in the battery compartments Find. A seller said the player was bought new just 6 months ago and came with the box opened and all of the contents. When I received the unit it was clear that he had replaced a brand new turntable in it with a used one he had and acted as if the original was included with the store. Too many scratches to use it for months. For those who recently missed the opportunity to buy a new SL-CT730 on Ebay, all I can say is: move, you lost!
