I built an 8 inch shelf using these brackets. The angles aren't perfectly 90Β° but it actually worked in my favor as the lumber is what's left of Lowes' project and anyone who has ever bought lumber in bulk can tell you that chances are, Having at least a few of these warped pieces is pretty high. . So they really helped line it up and the screws that came with it were the perfect size. I can't change the curvature of the board, so it's not flush with the wall, it's straight and secure. Also, it fits perfectly with door hardware. My wife is happy and so am I.
