I was hoping this would make a great addition to my pie crust preparation. The shape is square, making it difficult to fit on the counter and work without spilling flour on the floor. A rectangle would be better or a smaller square to allow the dough to be rolled out for a "10" pie. It's too light so it doesn't stay in place. Also the lid of the rolling pin is too light, it slips off and doesn't hold the flour. I toss both items in a giant 3 cup bag of all-purpose flour. I shook it in the bag several times. Undeterred, I threw it in the trash. My pasty rug is close enough to fabric that I'm comfortable working with it.
