Review on 🌈 Brightly Colored Bento Style Bentgo Kids with 5 Compartments by Brandon Perkins

I first bought one of these lunch boxes almost five years ago and had great results straight away. My son used it every day of school from the age of 14 months to 4 years. As he was expected to carry, open, close and store his own lunch, the box had many adventures. My 2nd son also used it until we decided to scrap it and buy a new one. I've tried other lunch boxes with poor results. This is the only one that can withstand daily abuse. It rarely leaks (although I've never tempted fate by topping up the broth in sections alone). I love them so much that I bought the adult version and the adult salad container (also a great purchase). Some things to keep in mind: 1.) You must follow the care instructions. It is not recommended to use the lower basket in the dishwasher. As often as possible I hand wash my boxes and sometimes I machine wash and sanitize. 2.) My girlfriend had little success with the case. She complained about mold but I bought 4 in 5 years with no mold problems. 3.) Another reviewer said that the cover latches broke after a few weeks of use. My current lunch box for my youngest son had the same issue with his box. It's really frustrating because they're such good boxes but decently expensive that this happens after a few weeks of use. A month ago my son's first buckle broke. I put it down to the fact that maybe my son was too aggressive. Bought this in March. My son broke off his first lock in April. I managed to break the second clasp tonight without putting too much pressure on the plating, which tells me their clasps could come loose. I guess I'll tie this thing up with a rubber band until the new one comes along, but dammit. 4.) I would like Bentgo to sell caps and liners individually or together. Perhaps by mixing and matching whimsical color schemes? If they sold them separately I could replace the broken parts at a lower price. Overall, this company sells great products. If I can have a box that is well past the warranty period and others that work great, then I understand that my latest purchase isn't the norm. I will buy more because they tend to be incredibly useful and other brands just can't match them in terms of simplicity, durability and product claims.
