Review on 🔌 Metra 40-VW20 VW/Audi/European Vehicle Adapter by Brian Kingsford

This was my second purchase attempt to convert my odd 2002 Saab convertible antenna to standard RCA tuning. Again, this was less than a success. It is impossible to determine the diameter of the pin inside the connector from the photos. Unfortunately it turned out to be a bit chunky to fit in my OEM Saab radio. However, I was able to disassemble the coax connector, find a real coax cable TV system connector and convert it to it using wire strippers and tape. The wire in the cable was a bit small for the job, you can strip it about an inch and then double it back to get just the right thickness for a good connection in the rare event that a 2002 Saab antenna rebuild is also your actual application is . The overall success of the air conversion was anything but outstanding. I think due to the age or design of the SAAB radios they just don't pick up the FM bands well in the US and I haven't had success tuning the antenna to AM stations.
