The Future of Recessed Ceiling Lights

These lights are just great. Advantages: 1. Easy to install2. Excellent light (I have a 3000K warm light version)3. Excellent adjustment in every direction with a true eye stabilizer4. Easily removable if necessary for future wiring access.5. Ideal for washing walls6. Consume only 8 watts and produce as much as a 65 watt incandescent lamp. Inside the hinged cover are Wago plug-in connectors, each of which accepts four wires - one for lighting and three for daisy-chaining other devices. I used a 14 gauge Romex which folds and removes easily and is approved for wall use. To clarify, each wire in the junction box—black, white, and green—has a pre-installed Wago wire connector. Wago wire connector 600 V, transparent, 4 conductors, 100 pieces in the box. Strip the insulation about 1/2 inch and press. Ready. The nut does not need to be rotated. Much more compact and you can add cables later if needed without having to disconnect existing cables. " or 2-3/4" hole. I bought a 2-3/4 inch hole saw for the job. Worked clean. (And I have a new size hole saw for my collection.) A 3 inch diameter hole will do, but the device won't fit snugly. sticks to drywall. Much better than installing 6 inch cans with their problematic spring clips. The block attaches to the low voltage cable coming out of the junction box via a two-wire threaded connection. Very positive. No chance of it falling apart after installation The biggest advantage is that the block is so flat. If you install it near the outside walls of your home, chances are the rafters that slope down towards the walls will leave you very little vertical space. These blocks are only an inch or so thicker than the drywall itself (they're called "can killers," for good reason. Why install a countersunk can again? Don't drill a 2-3/4-inch hole in the ceiling joists, you can Really you can install them anywhere And if the unit should fail for any reason in the future, it can be removed from the ceiling and replaced Lutron DVCL-153P-LA Diva CFL/LED Dimmer Light Almond With this unit, you can just like turn a regular switch on and off, with dimming controlled by a discreet little slider next to the large switch, and it's available in full gamma color to match existing switches and styles, yes, they don't dim to zero, but for a decorative lighting sufficiently dimmed.Remember the dimmer has an adjustment screw to fine tune to your light load.I now have four canned 11 watt leds and these four 8 watt aug apples. A total of only 76 watts. The dimmer should know this by adjusting the knob under the cover. You do it once and you're done. Then you have the maximum dimming range for Lutron. Wonderful design. I only wish I had stumbled across these modern, low profile, easy to install, and inexpensive LED blocks before installing eight new 6" cans around the house. Never again. And these devices come in different diameters, up to 6 inches and different capacities.
