Connection failed. My new (3 month old) WD Black Drive started clicking. Worried it was a hard drive failure and I would have to send it back. Switched to a shorter (1ft) old WD external drive cable and it worked great. Thought maybe a cable is bad and as I bought 2 of 3 for a total of 6 I just tried another cable from the pack. 1 month later same problem. The included WD cable worked fine from the start, but I need a longer cable as 1ft is too small for me. I opened and took the cable from the 2nd pack because. Maybe the batch in the pack was bad. New packaging, same problem. Since 3 out of 6 are bad between 2 separate packages, this is a fatal product defect. Can't recommend buying.
