Review on 💿 Padarsey 4-Port PCI SATA Raid Controller Card with 2 Sata Cables - Internal Expansion, HDD SSD Adapter for Desktop PC by Jesus Carlson

I have an 8-drive workhorse that I built in 2007, an additional 3-drive SATA controller recently failed. I installed this card, changed sata cables and rebooted, installed the drivers that came with it. My additional 3 hard drives showed up immediately. Performance is surprisingly decent unless one of them is trying to transfer large files between two drives on the card. Still, if you are patient, the job will get done. This card will of course be a bottleneck for SSDs, but works well with HDDs.
