Review on ☕ Kalita Style Coffee Dripper 102: A Brown Classic for Perfect Brewing by Rip Twin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Lead-free ceramic, made in Japan, highest quality

Superb and flawless Japanese-made 3-hole V-bottom dripper for best taste. Suitable for any paper filter or brand, size 2, 4 or 6. We use size 6 which is also big and tall so you don't burn your fingers when removing an item with a temperature of 195-205 degrees in the trash. We like to take a little more with us. Kalita ceramic glazed utensils are ideal for brewing. The Model 102 works with fresh ground for 4 cups of 5 oz. Or 2 x 10 oz cups American Super Size. I brew in a pre-warmed, lead-free glazed clay pot, my favorite English Brown Betty for staying warm, good pouring and a sturdy large handle. It can be placed at the table, ready for a second cup, and create a wonderful morning with a newspaper and a few birdsong. I started my career with a wonderful Chemex in the 1970's. Ahh. After breaking 2 pots a year because of the clumsy slip, I couldn't afford it anymore! I switched to other borosilicates, another breakdown. There are no ballerinas in this kitchen. Kalita 102 is compatible with anything that suits you as a cooker: a mug, a thermos, a cylinder, a carafe, old jam jars. All that is needed is a hole that is 4 inches in diameter or less. Half liter wide mouth jars that have lids and are great for leaking can be ideal. Pictured is a recycled jam jar, now a brew kettle in a quilted homemade case with a strap for carrying to the garden. And a snapshot of filter #6. Enjoy.
