Review on 🏎️ Enhance Performance with Moroso 63784 Intercooler Tank for Subaru WRX/STI by Bubba Baldwin

WHY THIS PART: I bought this part after realizing that my expansion tank was leaking my 04 WRX was not caused by a broken cap. Instead, my factory tank started popping at the base of the filler neck and coolant dripped onto the top of the tank to gently vaporize as I drove. Why Moroso? Well this is one of the cheapest alternative tanks and I knew I didn't want to buy another OEM tank only to fail later. Finding a new one locally or online wasn't easy either: in the parts trade, practically nobody knows what "pressure tank" means on a turbocharged Subaru. The two bolt holes that are meant to attach to the intake manifold posts do not match and come out of the box. The problem is the tank is a bit more square than the factory tank so when lining up the holes on the Moroso to screw it in the bottom hit things and it couldn't lay flat on the posts it was supposed to be attached to, which is why it gets 4 starts instead of 5. After some experimentation with stuff I had in my garage, I found that it takes about 1/2" spacer under the screw holes and a screw about 1/2" too long to flush the tank into a flush mount bring into position and screw. I went to Home Depot and bought a box of 1/2" chrome standoffs for about $3.99 and some metric screws that I believe were 4" longer than the original OEM screws for about 1 $.50 (although you can check yourself) It would be really nice to have this stuff included just in case someone needs it, which I think a lot of people do, for leaking and leaking and noticing that the hose, which I connected was leaking A new hose clamp fixed it and there hasn't been a problem since, which at the time of writing was about a month ago. Another word for those installing this, please pay attention when installing the cap, it has two fixing positions, the second one is difficult to loosen, but it guarantees the tightness of the installation, press STRONGLY and turn it!
