I bought an Emerson Tilo fan + LK103 light but they do not work independently, neither using the supplied 4 position switch with fan nor with one Tension chain or a simple wall switch. A ridiculous Emerson customer service number 800 let me know I had to buy a SW405 remote to get the fan and light to work independently. I installed it and still no luck. I had an electrician reinstall, and again no luck. With the remote control, neither the fan nor the light would work at all! Now I've lost about $200 on the fan + about $70 on the lights + $70 on the remote control + $60 on the electrician. The instructions for the fan are completely ridiculous with no help to get the codes working etc. I just go to Home Depot and buy a fan + light for $59. No more Emerson products. Never!
