My wife affectionately calls them "shorts" because they do! The pant itself is already quite warm without the heating elements - it's like two-layer jogging pants (something like ski pants). In 45-50 degree weather my wife only needs the first (lowest) heat setting so there should be plenty of room to work on sub-freezing days. The heating elements are well placed around the legs, knees and thighs. The battery is not included, but any small USB power bank will do, as one of the cases has a USB-A power connector. The on/off/heating button works fine. As stated in the description, it takes about 30 seconds to warm up, which is fine with me. I usually wear medium sizes, I ordered the large ones as they tend to run small, but the large ones are too big. Medium would probably be a good fit. All in all a "hot" pants!
