I bought these as bar stools not gaming chairs although they will fit into video poker machine slots etc for games if you have the space. They would also do a good job on the computer for keeping your poise, but they definitely go to the bar area in the kitchen to look classy. I think they could even work as a nice salon chair in a beauty salon or home beauty salon. As a side note, if you're like me and have cats, you can get a leather seat cover. But they do really well for the bar in our living room. The chairs came together in less than three minutes. To be honest they were one of the easiest to build. They consist of just a few simple parts that all fit together perfectly. The footstool mentions that it needs to be rotated against the seat of the chair or you'll end up tipping it backwards, so pay attention to assembly. They stay in place well. I weigh 160 pounds and they don't move under my weight. They're rated up to 265 pounds and I don't think that would be a problem at all. They're difficult to move unless you're actually sitting in them. They rise and fall well when you sit in them. The chair part looks good and I didn't have any tears or threads sticking out. You look pretty stylish. I actually got two of these for the bar and they stand out. The metal shines and will pick up fingerprints or dirt on it, but it rubs off so easily with a small amount of cleaner that it's not a problem. They are relatively non-slip on my wooden floors. The backrest is a bit lower but these are bar stools and the idea is that I lean against the bar while eating. I would buy them again. Set up quickly and easily.
