I purchased this item because my 2012 Ford Escape had a low tire pressure code. All the tires had the correct pressure, so I checked the owner's manual. It was said that tire pressure sensors fail after a certain period of time. I called the dealer and asked how much it would cost to have the problem checked out. I thought I could make it a lot cheaper and when the next one comes out I'll be able to test this one too and save a lot of money. It worked great and at a very reasonable price.
