I'm very glad I finally found this comb after looking through all the related products and reviews. This comb is made from a single piece of wood, meaning it will likely last longer than those that have two pieces of wood glued together. together, and also free from chemicals used in adhesives. Most of the wooden combs I've seen at Revane are made out of two pieces of wood. They are made from only natural wood, with no dyes or wood colors. Before I bought this comb I ordered another one that said it was all natural wood but had brown paint on it that came off when I rubbed it with a white cloth and I returned it as I don't need it. color on my hair and scalp. - The workmanship is very good. The entire comb is smooth and feels comfortable in the hand. The tooth is well cut, without splinters, glides smoothly through the hair. It has an interesting smell, different from the typical sandalwood smell, but I guess different types of sandalwood have different smells? I don't particularly like the smell of this comb, but I don't find it off-putting either. This is a more expensive comb ($16.99) but as I expect many years of use from this I decided to pay more for solid quality. All in all a really great wooden comb and one of the best, if not the best, that we can currently find on Revain.
