Could have killed someone

0 stars. I did brakes on my truck, new rotors, pads, lines, caliper repairs and decided I would replace the original master cylinder in 240,000 miles. After installation I bled the system but after a few bleed cycles I had no pressure at the bleed holes. After going in circles for several hours, I finally decided that the problem was with the newly installed master cylinder. I reluctantly took it apart again and found that the piston was stuck in the cylinder. In the end, simply reinstall the original. Huge waist of my weekend. All it was good for was the plastic tank, which actually transitioned well to the old cylinder. Thank goodness it stuck on the bleed and not on the road who knows what might have happened or who would have died.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Security
