A very detailed evaluation! We had bought other watches before and they looked and felt cheap, never worked properly. This watch is of good quality and easy to use. We gave this watch to our 8 year old for the new school year. She loves it and can easily use the features. She can call us and we can call her, this feature works very well. There is a voice messaging service called WeChat, but this watch doesn't have a text messaging feature. The child can take pictures with the camera. No games, music or other applications, just business. We bought a Speedtalk Mobile GPS/Voice SIM card to use with the watch. (They only have their own instructions for activating the SIM card.) We followed all the instructions that came with the watch and were able to connect in about two hours. You need to use their app to finish setting up the watch, it takes some time. The app works well and I was able to set everything up there. The child cannot change any settings through the watch, an adult does all this through the application. The kit includes a high quality charger. Batteries last for the whole school day. Of course, like a cell phone, the battery will run out if your child tries to talk on the phone or use the camera all day. Initially we had problems but the technical support from the watch company was helpful and timely. They instructed us to change the tracking frequency to every 10 minutes or every hour. For your information. Frequently manually tracking your device through the app will decrease watch battery life. The app also shows you the battery level of the watch. You can set up a geofence for the places where your child will be, e.g. E.g. at home, at school, etc. The application sends a notification when the device has left this place and when it has returned there. Voice monitoring is used to hear what is happening around your child. It has an emergency call function for up to two phone numbers. The Do Not Disturb feature can be set for specific times of the day (during school). However, if your child needs to call you, they will not be able to receive anything when this feature is enabled. So we don't use them. So far we are really enjoying this watch and it gives us a sense of security knowing we can contact our child and find out where they are. I hope it helps! REVIEW UPDATED 12/06/2019: Great customer service! Our original watch had SIM port issues. The card did not stay in the watch rendering it inoperable. At that time we had the watch for about three months. I contacted the seller about this problem. Helped me immediately! I sent them the watch and they replaced the watch with a new one for free! It was a great experience and there were no problems.
