I've always been a bit of a paranoid who likes to be prepared for anything, and I didn't want to carry a gun (like pepper spray) with me everywhere I went, I wanted peace of mind. the purchase was therefore brainless. Thought I would buy this to put on a cord to carry my keys and wallet on and take with me everywhere. When I first tried it the day I received it I found that the flashlight and alarm clock were completely ineffective so I figured I'd try swapping out the batteries and see if that did the trick Fix problem before I send it back. As soon as I unscrewed the back, the alarm clock and flashlight worked perfectly, and after experimenting I figured the screw was the problem! All of this to the point that if it doesn't work for you, try unscrewing the screw halfway and see if that helps!
