Works. It's cheap and it does the job right. For most non-plumbers, you'll probably buy this for odd jobs and have the duct tape in your toolbox for the rest of your life. This material is very thin and provides tightness of the thread. When installing a new fixture, be sure to read the owner's manual to see how many coats are recommended. In this case more is not always better, from what I've seen it's best to wrap 2 or 3 times. good sealing when tightening the connection. You'll know if you got it wrong as the tape will start to stick together, but don't worry you'll have plenty left over!
