Good for the price I got this as a cheap fix for a missing speedometer on my boat. In speed display mode, it is bright enough to read in sunlight. With the entire display on I can barely read the speed and can't read anything else. I ended up buying a small flat power supply and installed it behind the dash just for that. Pros: - It gets the job done and is better than using your phone for speed. - Sun readable - Has a flat back so you can tape or velcro attach it to your dashboard. - You can calibrate it if the speed is wrong (which it compared to my car and phone). - Although I'm not wet yet. There were no problems with light splashing water and little moisture. Two complaints: 1) It's USB powered only, which means you'll need an AC adapter or a separate voltage converter to power it to 12V. I'd rather it be just 12V direct. In addition, a micro-USB port on the side leads to an awkward cable situation that makes clean installation difficult. 2) It's not the fastest update, probably once a second, and you need multiple reads to get reliable speed. So when you're accelerating, you have to be patient to see how fast you're actually going. If I still had my old car that didn't have a working speedometer, that would be my quick fix too. Long term there are GPS speedometers that look and work much better and I will buy one of these for my boat but they are 10 times the price. short. so low that most power banks turn off automatically to prevent power consumption. It was pretty frustrating, but once I found a cheap power bank that worked, I didn't even need to charge it after a few hours.
