We have several electric callus removers. This is the first model with a vacuum function. In general, these devices are effective in reducing callus formation. This device differs from them in the way it works, except for the vacuum function. Our other callus remover products feature a callus remover roller mechanism. This device has a disk with a circular rotating motion. I love this design element, it seems to allow for a more focused, limited area that is "polished". Think of it like an electric razor cutting facial hair. Instead of a roller, you have a rounded flat surface (relatively flat) that you can easily position and move over the area of the cornea. So I see it as a very efficient mechanism. This design element alone makes this device worth the challenge. The vacuum function does not disappoint. It skillfully sucks up most of the dust produced by the abrasion of corns. Grinding wheels have slots that allow dust to be sucked into the machine head. Surprisingly it works well. And there's an easy-access lid that you can remove to shake any accumulated dust out of the collection area. This ensures significantly less dirt when treating calluses on the feet. The device is waterproof to IPX7, which means it can withstand immersion to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes without damage. So you can use this in the shower or bath. And washing your device is also less of a hassle. The 1200 mAh battery is a decent capacity for a product of this genre. It takes 2.5 hours to fully charge a depleted battery, allowing for up to 2.5 hours of use. The device has 2 speeds, so using a higher speed will likely reduce runtime. The 3W motor power is on par with callus removers (although many are in the 2W range). There is only one button on the device. Long press activates the device with green light. The second press of the button turns on the 2nd speed with the corresponding red light. Operation is as simple as pressing that one button and applying a rotating disk to the targeted area of the cornea. Included accessories: 3 disc heads (including the disc already attached to the device), cleaning brush, USB charging cable and user manual. The kit also includes a dedicated disc removal tool, which I think is a fantastic addition. This simplifies removing the disc from the head of the unit. Attached are photos showing real world images, with a ruler for size reference. Close-ups of relevant aspects and functions are included, as well as devices from different angles. This is a very efficient and reliable device. The vacuum function works well. I'm not sure about the effectiveness of the vacuum when used in the shower/bathtub. Personally, I wouldn't use it in the shower, let alone in the bath. I would follow the general instruction to clean my feet, towel dry them and then use this device. Rinse and moisten calluses/feet after treatment. We are impressed with the design and construction of this device. This is in line with expectations. Accordingly, it receives a rating of 4.5 to 4.75 stars with a high recommendation.
