We tested the Mediagear Dock with the new Dell XPS 1500 running Windows 10 Pro and it was able to power the laptop from the USB port . C and to run USB tasks. The power delivery is typical of old-school laptops, but of course the docking station does more for you. What's notable about this box is that it uses a standard, more readily available power cord, *not* IEC 60320 C5, 18AWG, 10A/1250W NEMA 5-15P cord, but a more common IEC NEMA 5-15P cord. 60320 C13 18AWG 10A/1250W 125V 3 PIN Why it's important: You may not need to carry a separate cable with your laptop, as you can use any of a variety of legacy desktops or monitors. This is a small but useful feature.
