Bright as hell, great price for a beginner gardener. I upgraded a single growing bulb (from a department store) that was said to have enough spectrum to grow, but I noticed my seedlings just never got enough light (so leggy). This photo shows seedlings planted under a single bulb and then under my new lighting (the next morning I saw an immediate change in growth rate and direction). I'm new to this and have no plans to build a crazy grow box, just a simple setup to get starter seedlings while the weather is bad. They turned out to be PERFECT for the price, size and space on my shelves. NEVER got hot and was small enough to carry around when I need to take something home from the garage in questionable weather and winter. Each is 2 feet long, emits 360 degrees (it's overkill, but doesn't bother in any way. Shading the side about 3 inches is no problem, so it's indirect and doesn't glare when you walk). It comes with brackets for mounting to a wall (or a plank of wood which I chose. I spent about $5 on the hardware but I already had a piece of plank at home. EASY to install. Only downside is that each of the TWO 2" light bulbs in this package each has a power cord (unless you want to wire them together for a 4ft light source. I didn't bother to get this). Very happy , my seedlings are happy and it makes me happier Will buy more when I make a portable home growing system.
