The table itself appears to be well made, steel frame with a couple of bolts holding the actual top to the frame, a couple of nuts had a couple of rough threads which took a bit more effort to get but nothing serious that would require additional tools. A screwdriver is highly recommended to attach the Surface to the frame as 16 screws are required, no accessories, and the only tool provided with the kit is a hybrid hex/Phillips screwdriver. It's worth noting that the plastic fixings, cup holder, headphone hook and shelf are just cheap plastic and despite the pictures the rack/shelf has no internal electronics or USB ports, although there is foam in the base that you can cut to size will. Also, the huge mouse pad isn't ideal for a desk, it has uneven coverage from left to right. I'm taking off one star for the crappy accessories (it would have been 5 stars for the table itself).
