I would not consider this cable for charging on the go. It's a bit cumbersome and I'll just leave my OEM for this purpose. As a desktop charger, this is a great size. Finding the right cable for Garmin is easy as it has a very clear shape. When connecting the clock, a clear click can be heard if the connection/installation is correct. However, despite this great lock, I'm not getting a 100% reliable charge. Most of the time it charges, but sometimes I have an issue where, even though the watch is locked onto the stand, it won't charge until I move the cable around a bit. So I'm concerned about the poor quality of the wires. I haven't tried the other charger that comes in the 2-pack.
