I bought this in hopes that it would make it easier for my child to use their new computer at school. But I think he'll probably go back to where he came from. A clean install of Windows 10 (Build 19401) quickly recognized the camera, although it took an unusually long time to install everything. After a restart, Windows Hello was activated and we were good to go. The problem, however, is that you have to be almost over the camera for it to perform face recognition. If you're using a 27" or larger monitor at a reasonable distance, chances are you're too far away for the camera to register. Using Windows Hello is pretty much the only reason you should even think it's a camera. Image quality is comparable to potatoes, and the ultra-wide format does not help. It was so bad I checked to see if I missed a second layer of protective film. The clip is awful. Whoever came up with this chose to place the USB cable on the left side (if you're facing you with the camera), and the cable management straps didn't prevent them from tilting the camera the left. The monitor clip did not help hold the camera securely. At best, it (barely) prevents the camera from falling off the top of the monitor. And in the era of near-bezel-less displays, this one still managed to hang over an old monitor's bezel and block a few hundred pixels.
