Review on Columbia Rain Zilla Jacket Bright Collegiate by Jeff Westra

Great little jacket and what you would expect for the price. Fairly good waterproofing, average on the Columbia scale. This is not a raincoat and I wouldn't recommend it for winter, no taped seams or zippers but it will do for the northwest shoulder season. I love that it has a light fleece lining on the shoulders and hood so the jacket isn't a cold surface for your child's skin when it rains. Also, the stitching is pretty heavy, my friend isn't going to punch holes in it right away. The rain will eventually come (see photo after an hour in the rain) but I think the Nikwax will do the job. My child is 3.5 years old, average height/weight and wears a 4T.
