Good mop but the company lacks customer service

I have had this mop for over a year and here is what I think of this product. Pros: - EASY to set up/clean up. All you have to do is add water to the container, turn it on and wait about 15 seconds for it to heat up. When you're done cleaning, pour out the remaining water, roll up the cord and put away. It is very light and easy to store. The mop head can be rotated vertically for easy storage. The mop head is a triangle. This allows you to climb into corners, which rectangular mops don't allow - To let off steam you have to squeeze the handle! I have a couple of friends who have other steam mops and often complain that their mops are constantly giving off steam which makes everything a lot damper. - It works! I have two children under the age of 4 and their eating habits are making my kitchen floor sticky CONSTANTLY! This mop cleans really well. With powerful steam, all the dirt disappears from my floor. The floor stays so clean. Chemistry is not required! I won't pretend I don't use chemicals. They definitely have a purpose, especially when the flu is spreading. BUT it is very nice not to use chemicals when cleaning floors. I have a toddler and a kid and the last thing I want to worry about is my kids touching the floor which is covered in nice wet chemicals. No thank you. Cons - I really only have one, but it's a big deal. After using the mop for a year and only using it once a week, it stopped working. It turned on and produced some vapor but no heat. It was a NIGHTMARE to send him back. I had to speak to several people about trying to fix it at home before I was allowed to send it back. Since the company is based in Canada, shipping it back was a little more involved and I was a bit surprised that I had to pay for shipping. The mop costs about $100 and shipping is $30. It doesn't seem right to me. But maybe it's just me. The conversation was a joke. I was never told when they got the mop what was wrong with it and was never told it would come back to me. I finally contacted them and when they got back to me the mop had arrived a day late. I am very disappointed that the company does not have customer service. I really like this mop but if it's that hard to fix I'll probably buy elsewhere next time I need a steam mop.
