Review on Portable 7-Inch Widescreen DVD Player: Sylvania SDVD7014-MPINK by Shawn Jacobs

This was a real disappointment. It was the highest rated player, but I'm giving it back. The first problem is that the DVD loaded very slowly. I almost thought it wouldn't work at all, but after 2 minutes it finally booted. But then the chapters change very slowly or react to every keystroke. Basically, every function you try to perform has a 60-90 second delay before it actually performs that action. There was a lot of lag even when trying to get to the menu screen. The second problem is that it doesn't remember where you left off. Most DVD players will switch to "last memory" until you eject the disc. This starts anew each time at the beginning of the preview and it takes forever until the right chapter is reached. So unfortunately he's back and my search for a worthy player continues. I think the picture and sound were decent enough but the freezing was too annoying.
