Review on Auto Expressions-223102 Roof Top Cargo Carrier: Grey, Water Resistant, Maximize Your Car's Storage Capacity by Rob Marsh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Used it for camping this weekend! So many places!

Now that we're planning a lot more hikes this year, we're struggling with blankets that take up SO MUCH space in our big SUV. We have a Ford Explorer with plenty of room in the back, but we couldn't fit everything that led us to this purchase. As you can see in the photos with my dog who loves to model how big a real bag is. We stuffed a bag with a tent and at least 5 blankets, thicker blankets, pillows and sleeping bags. They fit tight and close well. It's a little tricky to assemble with all that on top, so either two people are required after you've loaded it (which makes packing easier), or you can pack it up while it's on the roof, which is also doable is. We added an extra strap in the picture because this is our first time using it and we don't have a front or back handle to hang it on, only the side ones, so we tried to be very careful. But we can buy front and rear handlebars as I know it might affect safety a bit. We could also see while driving why the lack of a front zip is mentioned because when we were on the Autobahn the wind would have opened it up slightly and blankets would have been everywhere. We are happy with this bag and it's a nice thick material and I haven't tested it in the rain yet but the material seems to be water resistant. For the price we recommend
