Review on IDesign Hooks Set Clear Count by Todd Look

I have never written a negative review before and now I feel guilty. But these things just don't work. I think it's due to poor workmanship as I've used a similar design successfully in the past. After 10 years of using similar suction cup hooks to attach Christmas wreaths to my windows, they started falling apart. Since they looked just like the ones I've had for years, I bought them as replacements. That was mistake #1. Mistake #2 was that I threw away the packaging without being sure it was really a replacement for the old ones, so I couldn't return it. All but one didn't have the PowerLock feature (a lever that rotates to create a vacuum) working. There is nothing wrong with the design concept, but the workmanship leaves a lot to be desired. I only give two stars because one of them worked well. I think that's pretty generous of me. If you buy them, try this. First clean the surface you want to attach it to. Then wet the cup. Make sure the power lock is fully open and press the cup firmly against the surface. Then close the power on lock. See if it comes off easily - if so, start over. If it floats, place it where you want it and wait for the moisture to evaporate. At this point you can - emphasize POWER - have a good grip. Good luck and happy holidays!
